Abercorn Common

Abercorn Common is a 180,000-square-foot (17,000m2) shopping center in Savannah, Georgia. The center was the first retail center in the U.S. to become LEED-certified, meaning its design incorporates efficiency with attractive buildings and public spaces. The buildings and public spaces resemble Savannah’s downtown historic district, with awnings, brick facades, fountains and brick-paved sidewalks. Palm trees, pampas grasses and willow trees are among the natural features. The shopping center dates back to the 1960s, when Abercorn Street was extended to form Abercorn Expressway. At the time, it was one of the first establishments on Savannah’s southside, and now it forms the primary shopping corridor of Savannah. Located within several hundred feet are other major shopping centers, including: Oglethorpe Mall; Oglethorpe Plaza with its Best Buy and Office Depot; Chatham Plaza, with World Market, Ross Dress For Less, and Linens ‘n Things; and a K-Mart Shopping Center, which has a Red Lobster in its parking lot. Melaver, Inc. currently owns Abercorn Common

History

Abercorn Common first began in 1968 as Abercorn Plaza. At a mere 38,000square feet (3,500m2), the southside Savannah shopping center would grow to nearly 180,000square feet (17,000m2). The center was originally anchored by M&M (Melaver and Melaver) Supermarkets. In the 1970s, the center was expanded to include Service Merchandise and Western Auto. Western Auto closed in 1990, leaving a vacancy for nearly 15 years. In 1985 the M&M Supermarket chain was sold to Kroger, but the Melaver family retained ownership of the buildings. While most stores were converted in the 1980s, several M&Ms stayed open as a separate banner under Kroger. The Abercorn Plaza location did not close until 1991. The reason this location was not converted to Kroger was due in part to a 60,000-square-foot (5,600m2) Kroger on nearby Mall Boulevard. The store, vacant barely a year, was converted into Books-A-Million and Michael’s in 1992. Service Merchandise was downsized in the early 2000s and was split into two units. Service Merchandise kept the largest unit and HomeGoods moved into the other portion. Also in early 2000 Melaver Inc. returned to their sustainable roots. Sustainability in Savannah was nudged forth by Melaver when they renovated their downtown Whitaker Building and made it LEED-NC. Next came Abercorn Common Shopping Center. Service Merchandise left the area when the retailer began closing all of its stores in preparation for becoming a solely online retailer.

LEED

Under the LEED program, Abercorn Plaza was enlarged into a more energy-efficient center. Using such features as reflective roofs, water conserving appliances (i.e. sinks and toilets) and the use of low-volatile organic compounds (VOC) (i.e., paints and sealants), the center became LEED silver-certified. There is also a cistern located behind the building that holds 5.5 million gallons of water retained from the roof and parking lot. The water is treated and used for irrigation purposes. Eighty-five percent of construction and demolition debris was recycled. In some cases old bricks became pavers. Pavers were for sale that could have a person’s name engraved into them in 2004. The money was donated to The Coastal Georgia Land Trust and the Savannah Tree Foundation. New center features front-end parking spaces reserved for hybrid-model cars only. McDonald’s became LEED-Gold in September 2006 and is the first LEED McDonald’s worldwide.

Post 2006 Renovation

The project began in 2004 with the demolition of Service Merchandise, Western Auto and Beneficial. Neighboring car dealerships were also purchased and demolished, while salvaging all building materials. The land area gained became a triangle at the intersection of three streets: Abercorn Expressway, White Bluff Road and Fairmont Avenue. The remaining shopping center was remodeled. New buildings were constructed including a Circuit City and more general-lease areas. Shops 600 came on line in early 2007 and was certified LEED-Silver. The next phase, which will expand the center to its maximum potential, is currently in the design phase.

A post pounder is a tool used for driving metal fence and sign posts into the ground. It consists of a heavy iron pipe which is closed at one end and has handles welded onto the sides.

The open end is put over the top of the post to be driven and moved up and down. The closed end hammers on the top of the post and the large mass aids in sinking it into the ground.

Manual post pounders tend to be around 20lbs, but weight varies with model types. They can be dangerous to handle if raise above the head. Incidentally catching the bottom of the pounder on the top of the post can result in serious injury to the head if the pounder continues to pivot and fall downward.

Hearing protection is advised due to the loud sound produced. It would be wise to wear a hard hat.

This tool article is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.

An alternative to the manual post pounder was developed in the late 20th century. This device widely known as the skidril is a tool which is driven hydraulically (by oil) the concept allows for a female opening to accept the post being driven. The impacting of the post occurs within a confined space. Impact energy is imparted on the post by a high speed hammering mechanism which prevents recoil and or dangerous pivoting or popping of the driver.

A clock radio that includes a white noise machine.

A white noise machine is a device that produces a sound that is random in character, somewhat like a waterfall or air escaping from a balloon. They generally do not produce actual white noise, which has a harsh sound, but more often pink noise, whose power rolls off at higher frequencies, or other colors of noise.

Use

They are often used to protect privacy by masking distant conversations, say in a psychiatrist’s waiting room, and are also sold as sleep aids. Such machines often can produce other soothing sounds, such as rain, wind, and ocean waves. They are often used by sufferers of tinnitus to mask their symptoms.

Studies have shown that employing white noise machines in offices improves productivity by reducing distractions.[citation needed]

The sounds generated by digital machines are typically not truly random and may “repeat” noticeably.

Mechanics

Simple machines consist of a very basic setup, involving an enclosed fan and (optionally) a speed switch. This fan drives air through small slots in the machine’s casing, producing the desired sound. More complex machines may be electronic, and offer a variety of ‘nature sounds’ in addition to white noise.

Manufacturers recommended that the volume of white noise machines be initially set at a comfortable level, even if it doesn’t provide the desired level of privacy. As the ear becomes accustomed to the new sound and learns to tune it out, the volume can be gradually increased to increase privacy.

A contemporary kitchen pantry in a U.S. house.

A pantry is a room where food, provisions or dishes are stored and served in an ancillary capacity to the kitchen. The derivation of the word is from the same source as the Old French term paneterie; that is from pain, the French form of the Latin pan for bread.

In a late medieval hall, there were separate rooms for the various service functions and food storage. A pantry was where bread was kept and food preparation associated with it done. The head of the office responsible for this room was referred to as a pantler. There were similar rooms for storage of bacon and other meats (larder), alcoholic beverages (buttery) known for the “butts” of barrels stored there, and cooking (kitchen).

In America, pantries evolved from Early American “butteries”, built in a cold north corner of a Colonial home [more commonly referred to and spelled as "butt'ry"], into a variety of pantries in self-sufficient farmsteads. Butler’s pantries, or china pantries, were built between the dining room and kitchen of a middle class English or American home, especially in the latter part of the 19th into the early 20th centuries. Great estates, such as Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina or Stan Hywet Hall in Akron, Ohio had large warrens of pantries and other domestic “offices”, echoing their British ‘Great House’ counterparts.

Butler’s pantry

A butler’s pantry or serving pantry is a utility room in a large house. It is usually located adjacent to the kitchen or to the wine cellar and usually contains counters (benches in British English) or tables and sinks and may or may not be used for storing food.

Common uses for the butler’s pantry are storage, cleaning and counting of silver [European butlers often slept in the pantry as their job was to keep the silver under lock and key.] The wine log and merchant’s account books may be kept in the butler’s pantry. The room is used by the butler and other domestic staff; it is often called a butler’s pantry even in households where there is no butler.

The Hoosier cabinet

Main article: Hoosier cabinet

First developed in the early 1900s by the Hoosier Manufacturing Company in New Castle, Indiana, and popular into the 1930s, the Hoosier cabinet and its many imitators soon became an essential fixture in American kitchens. Often billed as a “pantry and kitchen in one,” the Hoosier brought the ease and readiness of a pantry with its many storage spaces and working counter right into the kitchen. It was sold in catalogues and through a unique sales program geared towards farm wives. The popularity of the Hoosier would herald a gradual shift towards increased cabinetry and workspaces in the American kitchen until they, like the pantry, became all but obsolete. Today the Hoosier cabinet is a much sought-after domestic icon and widely reproduced.

The Asian Pantry

Traditionally kitchens in Asia have been more open format than those of the West. The function of the pantry was generally served by wooden cabinetry. In Japan a kitchen cabinet is called a “Mizuya Tansu”. A substantial tradition around wood working and cabinetry in general developed in Japan, especially throughout the Tokugawa era. A huge number of designs for Tansu (chests or cabinets) were made, each tailored towards one specific purpose or another.

The idea is very similar to that of the Hoosier Cabinet above, with a wide variety of functions being served by specific design innovations. See the Tansu page for a more complete listing of different designs and more extensive information.

The Modern Pantry

The pantry is making a comeback in American and English homes as part of a resurgence of nesting and homekeeping since the late 1990s. It is one of the most requested features in American homes today, despite larger kitchen sizes than ever before. There is a charm and nostalgia to the pantry, as well as a practical, utilitarian purpose.

Books on Pantries

Chapters of earlier books, particularly written during the era of domestic science and home economics in the latter half of the 19th century, featured how to furnish, keep and clean a pantry. Catharine E. Beecher and Harriet Beecher Stowe in their seminal The American Woman’s Home, written in 1869, advocated the elimination of the pantry by having pantry shelving and cabinetry come into the kitchen. This idea did not take hold in American households until a century later, by which time the pantry had become a floor-to-ceiling cabinet in the post-War kitchen. During the Victorian period and until the Second World…(and so on)

The ICI Pakistan Limited (Imperial Chemical Industries) is located in Karachi, Pakistan. It was set up as a public limited company in Pakistan in 1952.

ICI Pakistan operates a diverse portfolio of businesses, which along with the other Company in the group, Pakistan PTA Limited, has combined sales of over Rs 50 billion, equivalent to 1 percent of the country GDP. With this diverse portfolio, ICI is proud to improve the quality of life of millions of people by providing services to a number of diverse industries in the Country - to name a few, they are Textiles, Glass, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture & Livestock, Construction, Automobiles, Chemicals, Cement, Fertilizer, Rubber, Detergents, Footwear, Food & Beverages and Leather, with back-end relationships in twenty three countries. As an investment drive, ICI Pakistan is developing export opportunities in the regional markets especially in the Middle East, Iran and Central Asian states. Currently, products are being exported to six countries (Bahrain, Uzbekistan, Iran, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman).

ICI Pakistan Limited is a 75.81% owned subsidiary of ICI Plc, UK. It was set up as a public limited company in Pakistan in 1952. ICI presence in this part of the world, however, predates the formation of the public limited company and indeed, Pakistan itself. The Khewra Soda Ash Company, a predecessor of ICI Pakistan Limited, set up a soda ash manufacturing facility in Khewra in 1944 with a capacity of 18,000 tonnes per annum. This facility was sited next to the salt range as rock salt and limestone; two key raw materials for manufacturing Soda ash were available here in abundance.

Today ICI Pakistan five businesses, Polyester, Soda Ash, Paints, Chemicals and Life Sciences manufacture and sell a range of industrial and consumer products. These include Polyester Staple Fibres, POY Chips, Light and Dense Soda Ash, Sodium Bicarbonate, Paints for the Decorative, Automotive, Refinish segments, for Industrial use and Projects, Specialty Chemicals, Polyurethanes, and Adhesives and arranges manufacture, on a toll basis, of Pharmaceutical and Animal Health products. It also markets Seeds and in addition is engaged in trading in various specialized chemicals for use in industries in Pakistan.

In 1995 ICI Pakistan Limited set up a USD 490 million PTA manufacturing facility at Port Qasim, near Karachi, which was commissioned in 1998. In 2001, the business was demerged to form Pakistan PTA Limited, a subsidiary of ICI Plc UK. ICI Pakistan is one of the largest quoted companies on the Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Stock Exchanges with a paid up share capital of Rs 1.39 billion. The company has around 1,294 permanent employees and the same numbers of people provide services through contractual arrangements.

Polyester BusinessICI Pakistan pioneered Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF) technology in Pakistan through its investment in a 12,000 tonnes per annum PSF Plant commissioned in 1982 in Sheikhupura, near Lahore. Successive expansions and de-bottlenecking in the late 1980s, major expansion in 1996 and a recent Asset Modernization and Improvement Project in 2006, have ensured ICI Pakistan retains its strong position in this industry thus placing the Business as one of the leading fibre suppliers in Pakistan.

In recognition of the significant improvements, the Business was awarded the second best position in the prestigious est Factory Award competition held by the ICI Group globally for the year 2000.

ISO 9002 certified, the Polyester Fibres Business continues to deliver qualities to customers and meet the tough challenges of the Textile Market both locally and internationally via continuous production development and innovation.

The business over the years has cultivated its competitive edge through its HR capability, customer service and image.

Soda Ash Business2006 marked the 62nd Anniversary of ICI Pakistan Soda Ash Plant in Khewra. While the plant dates back to 1929, commercial production began in 1944. Over the years the capacity of the plant has been increased through expansion in line with market demand. The total capacity of the plant today is over 280,000 tes after commissioning to the current 50ktpa expansion. In 1995, the business commissioned a 10ktpa plant for the manufacture of Soda Bicarbonate, which was further expanded to 20ktpa. Sodium Bicarbonate is a byproduct of Soda Ash.

ICI Pakistan Soda Ash Business caters to approximately 70% of the Country total Soda Ash requirement. The Business mainly uses indigenous raw materials and locally made equipment, thereby accruing savings to the Nation foreign exchange reserves through import substitution. ICI Pakistan Soda Ash business is committed to remain the preferred supplier for its customers and strives to maintain its competitive advantage through the relentless pursuit of manufacturing excellence and by delivering quality products…(and so on)

History

In 1755 James and Patrick Clark began a loom equipment and silk thread business in Paisley, Scotland. In 1806 Patrick Clark invented a way of twisting cotton threads together to substitute for silk threads which were unavailable due to France’s blockade of Great Britain and opened the first plant for manufacturing the cotton thread in 1812. In 1864 the Clark family began manufacturing in Newark, New Jersey, U.S. as the Clark Thread Co.

In 1802 James Coats set up a weaving business, also in Paisley. In 1826 he opened a cotton mill at Ferguslie to produce his own thread and, when he retired in 1830, his sons, James & Peter, took up the business under the name of J. & P. Coats. The firm expanded internationally, particularly to the USA. In 1890 Coats listed on the London Stock Exchange, with a capital base of ?5.7M.

In 1952 J. & P. Coats and the Clark Thread Co. merged. In 1961 a merger with Patons and Baldwins created Coats Patons. In 1986 a merger with Vantona Viyella created Coats Viyella. In 2003 the Guinness Peat Group plc took Coats Ltd private and it is now registered as “Coats plc”.

Operations

Coats plc does business under different names in different countries but most variations include “Coats”. For example, in the U.S., it does business as “Coats & Clark, Inc.” (consumer) and “Coats American, Inc.” (industrial). In the UK and Ireland, it does business as “Coats (UK) Ltd”, in Canada as “Coats Canada Inc” (and has an industrial subsidiary “Coats Bell”), and as “Coats Australian Pty Ltd” in Australia. Coats in Egypt does business as “Coats Egypt”.

Plot synopsis

Summary

Giles, feeling left out, goes out for drinks with Ethan Rayne. He wakes up in the morning as a Fyarl demon, and hires Spike to help him, as Spike is the only one who speaks Fyarl. The Initiative tries to hunt him down, with Buffy’s help. Eventually, Buffy realizes that it is Giles, and Ethan is forced to undo his curse and then is taken into custody by the Initiative.

Expanded overview

Buffy and Riley are making out on her bed, but before it gets too serious, Willow barges into the room and tells them of a demon that attacked the rec room. Armed with weapons, they go to the rec room only for Buffy to discover that it’s a surprise party for her 19th birthday. At the party, Giles feels out of place, especially when Buffy introduces Riley as her boyfriend, and brags about how wonderful Professor Walsh is.

Now able to hurt and kill demons, Spike packs his things as he moves out of Xander’s basement. Professor Walsh is informed that Buffy is the Slayer. After revealing Riley’s 17 captures and kills, she inquires about how many “hostiles” Buffy has killed. Uncomfortable, Buffy initially keeps quiet to avoid bragging, but from Buffy’s conversation with Riley afterward, the viewer can infer that Buffy is forced to admit that she has killed hundreds of vampires and saved the world multiple times. Riley is impressed and intimidated. As he puts it, “I suddenly have to learn the plural of apocalypse.” Meanwhile, Giles discovers that a powerful demon is about to rise, and calls Buffy, but Willow informs him that she is with Professor Walsh. Giles goes to talk with Maggie Walsh about Buffy, unaware that she knows Buffy’s identity and of her position in the Initiative. He has an immediate dislike for her, and is offended when she says that Buffy lacks a father figure.

Willow and Xander go with Giles to the cemetery to find the demon. They are very late and fail to find the demon. Instead, they find the area incredibly clean, which Willow suggests is the work of the Initiative. She and Xander go on about how thorough the operation is, only to discover that Giles never knew about the Initiative or that Riley and Professor Walsh are behind it. Again feeling incredibly out of the loop and unwanted, Giles sends Willow and Xander away, offering to stay in case anything happens, but after a few seconds realises it’s utterly pointless and dejectedly leaves. Ethan Rayne walks out of the shadows, speaking of interesting things to come, only to be caught when Giles re-enters the mausoleum.

Giles prepares to beat Ethan, sparing him only with Ethan’s hastily uttered promise of information. Going out for a drink, Ethan tells Giles that the underworld is being threatened by the Initiative, especially by something called 314. Whatever the Initiative is doing, it’s throwing everything out of balance. Buffy and Riley spar together, both holding back at first until they decide not to. Buffy kicks Riley hard enough to send him flying across the room. Meanwhile, Giles & Ethan get very, very drunk, with Giles opening up about how left out he feels and his annoyance that the Initiative have the demons running scared when he’d been fighting evil for 20 years, and Ethan flirts and gives his number to their waitress. Willow and Tara meet to practice magic and a simple magical exercise to float a rose goes awry, causing the rose to fly wildly around the room.

When he wakes the next morning, Giles discovers he’s been transformed into a horned demon with incredible strength. First trying to make a call, he breaks the receiver, then breaks the door off its hinges as he tries to leave the house. At breakfast, Willow lies to Buffy about where she was, saying she was practicing magic alone. She does mention that some magical force interfered with the spell she was attempting to cast. Buffy realizes she never told Giles about Riley and the Initiative. Career

Ray Luzier was raised in West Newton, Pennsylvania, a small town an hour outside of Pittsburgh. He began to play drums at the age of five, and although basically self-taught, participated in his high school jazz, concert, and marching bands. After his graduation in 1988, Luzier moved to Hollywood, California to pursue an education at the renowned Musicians Institute. He graduated in 1989 with a degree from MI’s Percussion Institute of Technology. Luzier later returned as an instructor at MI (19922001), where he taught rock-style drumming classes and private lessons.

Luzier is best known for his work with David Lee Roth, with whom he played drums for from 1997-2005. Luzier has also played with The Hideous Sun Demons, a progressive-rock/fusion trio formed with DLR bandmembers Toshi Hiketa (guitar) and James LoMenzo (bass). In 2004, Luzier released an instructional DVD. It features a wide variety of lessons, including double-bass technique, drum fills, motion exercises, and warm-ups. It is available through Amazon.com and Hal Leonard Publishing Co.

In January 2006, Luzier appeared at the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California with Billy Sheehan and Toshi Hiketa. The DeLeo brothers of Stone Temple Pilots appeared at the same NAMM venue as part of an impromptu band put together by Steve Ferrone, the drummer for Tom Petty and Average White Band featuring, among others, Keb Mo, Brian Auger, and Alex Ligertwood. After seeing Luzier’s performance, the DeLeo brothers invited Luzier to join the band Army of Anyone that they were putting together with vocalist Richard Patrick of the band Filter.

Luzier completed tracking for Tracy G’s newest Goaded record in May 2007. Beginning in late May 2007, Luzier and former DLR Band/Hideous Sun Demons guitarist Toshi Hiketa will embark on a two-week tour of Japan, performing various clinics at music schools.

In 2007, drummer Joey Jordison’s time with KoRn was coming to an end because his band Slipknot was preparing for the recording of a new studio album. Consequently, KoRn started looking for a new drummer. Having been a fan of Army Of Anyone, Jonathan Davis had mentioned to Luzier the possibility of working together. Luzier reportedly flew to Seattle to audition for Korn with Munky and Fieldy during a soundcheck for a show scheduled for that evening. KoRn invited Luzier to join the band after a very impressive audition.

Luzier played his first show with KoRn on January 13, 2008 in Dublin, IE and played throughout the bands Bitch We Have a Problem Tour. Currently the members of KoRn have taken a break to focus on different sideprojects, but are scheduled to record their ninth studio album together with Ray and their original producer Ross Robinson. Recently, Ray made UltimateRockGods.com’s Artist Of The Month for July 2008.

Currently Ray helps out KoRn singer Jonathan Davis to record his solo record. Luzier also played with Stone Temple Pilots for a couple of the band’s shows on their reunion tour in October due to STP drummer Eric Kretz taking time off to cope with the recent death of his father.

Kit setup

Ray’s kit is often changed slightly to fit the style of the band or artist that he performs or records with. He is currently endorses ddrum, Sabian cymbals, Remo drumheads, Pro-mark Drumsticks, DW hardware and Factory Metal Percussion Cymbals. Listed is…(and so on)

A spare ball and two bowling pins.

A bowling ball is a round ball made from urethane, plastic, reactive resin or a combination of these materials which is used in the sport of bowling. Ten-pin bowling balls generally have a set of three holes drilled in them, one each for the ring and middle finger, and one for the thumb; however, rules allow for up to five finger holes. A five-pin bowling ball has no finger holes and is smaller so that the bowler can hold the ball in the palm of his or her hand. Candlepin bowling balls also fit in the hand, but are lighter than five-pin balls.

Most bowling alleys provide free balls for patrons to use, called house balls, although avid bowlers may purchase their own. These are often customized, and can feature specially sized finger holes (in the case of ten-pin balls) or monograms. Because purchased balls are usually drilled to match the owner’s fingers, most can throw a customized bowling ball that is one to two pounds heavier than the house ball they previously used.

Bowling balls come in many varieties of colors, and are often either a single flat color, a swirl-like design of multiple colors, or a single color with an iridescent look. It is even possible to obtain transparent bowling balls, painted in such a way as to make it appear as though an object is inside. Some objects have included skulls, footballs, and baseballs.

Inside the ball is a core which makes each ball do something different. These cores are dynamically imbalanced to cause the ball to try to stabilize as it is rolling down the lane. This makes the ball roll over a different point on the surface every time it revolves and “flares” or causes multiple oil rings.

Bowling ball cores are constructed with different densities as well. Some are center heavy (low rg) and some cores are made with the weight distributed more towards the cover of the ball (high rg). Low rg balls will spin more easily than the high rg balls.

Ten-pin balls

Two reactive resin bowling balls. Both are the same model, but one is pearlized (right) and one is not (left).

Regulation ten-pin bowling balls must weigh no more than 16 pounds (7.2kg) (governing bodies do not regulate how light a bowling ball may be) and have a diameter of 8.5 inches (21.6cm). The lightest ball generally available is the six pound weight, which is used mainly by children. Ball weights between 12 and 16 are common in adult league play. Since the physical size of regulation balls is the same, while the weight may differ, lighter balls are much less dense than heavier ones. Thus, balls under 10 pounds will actually float when placed in water.

The behavior of a rolling ball on a surface is controlled by several factors, the most obvious being the bowler’s delivery. In the delivery, the bowler can use or fight (intentionally or unintentionally) the force of gravity. After the ball is on the surface of the lane, friction, gyroscopic inertia, and gravity all become factors. These environmental influences can be segregated as either lane conditions or ball characteristics. Additionally, a bowling ball is not an absolutely uniform spherehe gripping holes (and sometimes a balance hole) alone make that impossible.

Bowling ball materials, during the history of the USBC, have evolved from wood, to rubber, to plastic, to urethane, to reactive urethane, to particle, and to epoxy. Wood balls are now just museum pieces. Rubber balls are almost as hard to find; however, they may be found offered to casual bowlers at bowling centers, from their racks for those who don’t own their own ball. Bowling balls have been constructed with a core made of one material, a spherical coverstock (“cover” or “shell”) and a “pancake” weight block of denser material intended to compensate for the gripping holes.

One of the most contentious issues that has arisen is whether significant restrictions should be imposed on bowling ball technology. Other considerations have been noted with regards to the weight of the bowling pins, lane oiling techniques, and with the construction materials and techniques used to build bowling lanes.

Finger holes and grips

The way the finger holes are arranged on the ball surface changes the core dynamics; this will change how the bowling ball hooks down the lane.

There are only two different types of bowling grips for bowling balls: conventional, and finger tip; all other grips of any name (i.e., Sarge-Easter Grip and Semi finger tip) are derivatives of these two. In a conventional grip, the bowler’s ring and middle fingers are placed into the ball up to…(and so on)
